Re Tetevano and Prior it obviously depends on what other offers they might get (Tetevano) and whether they really want to go around again (Prior). We can't and shouldn't force contracted players out, but we also shouldn't be signing people on these insanely long deals (Sutcliffe, Walker and Thompson for starters). I like the fact Sangare has only signed for 2 years. That should be the default unless its someone we see as absolutely core to the team.

I’m thinking a new centre, and that might be all we can manage for next year…. Not ideal but we’ll have to run with an unbalanced squad again. I honestly think a quality Ozzy 9 would improve the team a lot. Harsh on Leeming I suppose though….

I don't understand where this idea we have no cap space comes from. We are very likely losing or have lost Mellor (approx £90k), Broadbent (£40k), Thompson (£80k), Dwyer (£90k), Briscoe (£100k), Mustapha (£30k), Walker (£100k), Sutcliffe (£100k). If that all happens we have £630k to play with and all we've done so far is signed Sangare who is probably on something like £80k, meaning we would have £550k still to play with. Even if we resign Hardaker its only the difference between what we pay him now and what we will pay him on a new contract that comes off the £550k.
We have plenty of money to play with.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Think you might be being a bit generous in your estimates there. I suspect most will be on maybe 20/25% less. Also got to consider that we'll be paying all of Fusitua's wage from next year, Walker and Sutcliffe are still contracted and yet to find a new home, and there is still no word on Thompson or Briscoe. Surely they are goners, but who knows? All that said, if all the above do leave we should have some room to bring in a couple of good players.

The figures are of course my estimates, based on the average SL wage being £80k and how long the player has been with us, what competition we faced for their signature, and what stage of their career they are at. Even if I am out by 20% that still leaves £400k to play with and should mean at least 2 very good players (including the extra for Fusitua) if we are to use the reduced contract values you outlined.
I suppose my point is that there's plenty of cap space available to rebuild if GH wants to do it.

There might also be salary upgrades to some of the youngsters next year to factor in
