Not much atmosphere in the SS before the golden generation started winning. You can't expect fans to get excited about a sub standard product that lacks any kind of wow factor.
Wrong , There was always plenty of atmosphere in the South stand even in the 80's and 90's

And there were plenty of days when it was absolutely flat. The atmosphere has always been great when the team are performing and it's no different now. The Hudds, Catalans and Saints games were all excellent atmospheres this year. If we start winning people will be singing again. Folks are fickle.

Exactly - how can fans be expected to be enthused when the team deliver such lifeless performances

Yep. The opening of the new SS has coincided with A) Years of underachievement and B) Covid. If we won five on the trot at the start of next year, it would soon be bouncing.
2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023. GH Puts out the same statement. Well it's no longer acceptable. We have no money to spend on players as we have 40 years to pay off the new South and North stands

We can debate if Gh needs to go or not, but what definitely needs to happen is a show of frustration and anger at the current situation at the game next week. If that’s not turning up. Turning our backs on the game or whatever, there needs to be a long loud message made to the board that this is it, we’ve had enough.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.
