His confidence looks shot. When at Hull, his ball return was fantastic. Strong, good feet, difficult to put down, and some really good pace. Defensively he was a bit out of place at times, but his tackle v Peter Fox in the Derby game won't ever be forgotten by Hull fans. He looks a shadow of the player we had at Hull.

Was he a big money signing. As far as I'm aware he was out of contract with us so there would be no fee to pay and I believe GH has a very strict salary regime so he presumably wouldn't be on megabucks. That being said he doesn't look half the player he was for us.

Absolutely agree. I mentioned this before but I was right in the corner at the Boxing Day game when Tom Johnstone skipped past him to score and his body language really struck me as quite worrying. I know it was only a preseason friendly but it alarmed me at the time.
Always seemed like a really good professional so don't for a minute think it's being uninterested but he just doesn't look like his mind is on the game at all.

I still think Briscoe could have a fair bit to offer Leeds if he can rebuild his confidence.
If it is true about his shoulders, that's worrying for a winger. Given his size and strength I'd be interested in seeing what he can do at centre, with the quicker/slighter Handley on the wing.
Briscoe's performance was disappointing but it was by no means the main reason we lost. I'm more worried about the lack of attacking threat in our forward pack, to be honest.
Briscoe is suffering from serious leroy Rivet syndrome and there is no cure, he is finished, in 15-20 years time somebody will score 5-6 at wembly and within 12-18 months there career will be over.

Rivett let the fame and glory go to his head. In the year between the 4 tries at Wembley and the mauling he took at Murrayfield, he'd gone off the rails. Briscoe seems like a quiet grafter. I saw him at the children's day a few weeks back and he looked really down, didn't really interact with the other players and when his time was up he jumped into his Range Rover and sloped off. His confidence is shot.

Until Briscoe gets his confidence back he should not be selected in any position and Handley is just too weak defensively

Ah man this is sad to hear.
Really hope Tom manages to get everything sorted. Seems like the guy is in a real slump at the moment.
