That’s season and World Cup over + not a good one for future in a young player. Gutted for him and us if true……..

3rd hamstring injury this season… not good. He’s got a weakness there it seems

It looked to be another one that happened in the act of him fighting to quickly get up and play the ball. It might be a technique that needs looking at.

I would also be concerned for Newmans mental state after this recent set back.
He said himself it was really tough last time but the fact he could play the rest of the season and get a place in the World Cup kept him going.

I think he needs to look at balancing his emotions more and not treating every play as though it’s the last throw of the dice of a grand final and he has to win it on his own.

When Gannon scored his first after great play from Harry he was reacting like we had won a cup final. We had gone slightly further ahead in a league game.
I love the passion but I think he would be better tempering it for mine.

Could well be. Not just Newman but I've wondered before whether players try too hard to replicate feats of strength they manage routinely in the gym whilst in games and when their limbs aren't properly aligned.

Apparently Smith and Thompson are OK and could well return next week. Fingers crossed for some good news for Harry too.

Totally agree with that. He's on the wrong side of boiling over in his every involvement at the moment. He has great raw talent but his ambition is writing cheques his body can't cash.
