As all have said - that was woeful. How can players constantly drop / lose the ball in one game. There has to be a real clear out at the season end , but the big worry is those on the way out ie Fusi , Sangare, etc will have no one willing to take them on , as they are so poor. What we do with Newman is anybodys guess , but he must be on big money , and is doing absolutely nothing either in attack or defence. BA has a massive job on his hands, but as per his interviews at the end of games , he calls it as it is, and he has been watching the same game as us , not like the nice person he succeeded.

I get that people think that Newman is offering little at the moment, but Arthur has been at pains to point out - he is playing "busted." Just how busted is anybodies guess, but I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt until next year. If he was sitting these games out he'd be called "biscuit bones" or "soft" by the regular armchair men of steel.
Newman offered nothing today. My worry is he is not a team player. He wants all the glory himself. He had the opportunity to put his winger n for certain score but kept hold of the ball as he has done in other games. He needs a good talking to and dropping if he can’t change his game and attitude.
Positives are that we won, so the season lingers on, and Arthur has seen how truly awful we can be. We were lucky to beat London and probably only would have beaten Hull out of the rest of SL on that performance. Just poor all round from most players. Still cannot see Cam Smith working as a prop. I'd rather keep Donaldson if that was his role.
It would have been better to have lost that game for everyone’s sake yesterday. We can’t keep on kidding ourselves there’s the foundations of a successful team currently down at Headingley. This mini revival is built on sand. I don’t know if the big smiles and hand shakes amongst Arthur and the coaching team after the game were sheer relief or delusion, and I wonder as they all sat chatting with Blease in the stand afterwards if the words “were gonna be f#**ed without Rhyse” were uttered, but mentally I think we need to start preparing ourselves for the worst next season if we are prepared to keep the majority of those on show yesterday. I might have felt sorry for London if they hadn’t been so disrespectful with the state of that pitch. The viewing experience was bad enough without having to work out which markings were for football and which were for Rugby League. The contempt shown towards our sport is unbelievable at times, but surely we can help ourselves by telling the grounds man to spend 10 minutes covering the unnecessary and confusing football markings for everyone’s sake. Can you imagine Wimbledon F.C playing a game with half the R.L markings left on the field ? For one I think they would have more pride and I think it would probably be deemed illegal by the F.A. The RFL doesn’t help the game one bit with such poor standards demeaning the game.

If that was elite rugby league then the standard is worse than at any point during the SL era. As FT professional players the team should be embarrassed. Their fitness is so poor - have were blowing after 20 minutes - London looked the fitter side and a big chunk are part time.
Some significant changes will be needed if this team is to be challenging for the top 4 next season. The NRL goes from strength to strength yet SL continues to regress every season - why?

Completely agree - for a marquee signing Croft has been very poor. Yes the pack is terrible but he offers very little when he has the opportunity. He doesn't look happy perhaps a change of club would perhaps be a good move all round.
Newman - just looks totally disinterested, perhaps carrying an ego that big is wearing him out. He is offering nothing and isn't supporting the young winger outside him - embarrassing.
Martin and maybe Bentley are the only above average players in that squad. To turn this around is going to take some significant surgery from Blease and Arthur.

You simply can’t compare the NRL to SL, they operate in totally different markets, The NRL is the biggest sport in town, it has money and coverage we could only dream of, so in turn they get the pick of the athletes in their country.
