Night and day difference from 1st to 2nd half...coinciding with ditching the gimmicks, shortcuts and going wide way too early and introducing good defence, discipline and running straight and hard early before going wide. Hopfully thats Rohans itch scratched for the season...because the proof could not be more overwhelming.
Enjoyed the 2nd half, good to see some of the young lads, especially Liitlewood, mentioned him last season as, along with Corbett, the only forwards i liked from last years academy team. Thought he played well, got a great frame for putting plenty of size on..he's extremely fast aswel.

Olpherts scored a nice second try. If that doesn't put him in the shop window he could still be decent back up for us if he builds confidence.
Thought Frawley looked exactly what we need. Very smooth distribution and looks to have a good temperament. Agree Ackers was MOM. Miller came up with some mistakes, but also two assists. They need to work hard at fitting his undoubtedly ability into the structure. Sinfield is really beginning to develop and was great to see Fergus McCormack come on and do well.
At least we won this year! It will take a bit of time with integrating new faces. For me I want to see signs of a clear coaching structure and a way of playing coming through in pre-season. No more gimmicks just well organised Rugby and if we make a few mistakes on the way that's fine as that's what pre-season is for building confidence relationships and patterns of play.

As usual, no interest in the Boxing Day game, but I did watch the post match presser and I'm pleased to see Smith praising the way the preseason games have flowed/been refereed. After his rightful complaints last year I'm hoping for less wrestle and messing about at the PTB this season, a nice last hurrah before the tackle height change kills off the game.
