Oh, having spoken to people at the club huh?
Well not everyone is afforded the luxury of having chats with people in the know.
But since when did what they say really mean anything? I bet at the start of the season they were probably ''determined to get to wembley and lift the cup''.

Majority? I'm not sure about numbers but i don't think the majority of our squad played in the world cup. A large percent of our key players and starting 13 yes.
G1 wrote:There was little or no pre-season before the players had to attempt to peak for a WCC and, shortly thereafter an earl;y cup tie against Saints.
No pre season so the players could re-charge the batteries etc?
Sounds very well thought out by McClennan and co and makes some of our early season wins against well prepared fired up opposition even more impressive if that is the case.
G1 wrote:The training and game plan have been deliberately scaled down all season long.
So the team were playing within themselves on purpose........yet still winning against fired up opposition trying their hardest? Damn, those early season battles are looking more impressive by the minute.
But I guess we need to possible re think the super league get's better mantra.
G1 wrote:If you listened to Mclennan's post match interviews after the cas game he said they had targeted that game, after the break, for quite some time as the point to scale up the training, scale up the preparation and scale up the performance.
It's a personal perference but I take no notice whatsoever of post match, pre match and interviews in general from players and coaches. I just don't think they're useful.
I've heard so much stuff over the years. Team a is really fired up and has been working overtime in training. Team a then loses by 70 points.

Cool story bro. But it'll be the qualities they showed in those early season battles that will shine through if they are to win the big prize.
