| Think he’s been carrying an injury all season and has just been managing it so far up to re-aggravating it and then needing surgery.
Think he will do a decent job once back to full fitness.

| I was hoping Momorovski would be better but eel he has been slowly improving and I am hoping in time he will be a good player for Leeds.

| Wasn't Mom the one that missed pre season due to family stuff and the move?.
Bit unlucky as with any injury,I think people are just so frustrated with how often Fusi and Newman are out that now any new guy that gets an injury will be the cherry on the cake for the tipping point

| Quote Exeter Rhino="Exeter Rhino"Some of the best GF winning Leeds teams have been underdogs - in 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012 etc - what's your point Flexwheeler? You do realise that good teams are not always expected to win, right?
The revisionism on this forum in the last few weeks really has been epic. We've been hearing that Furner would have been a better coach than Smith if only JJB hadn't complained and got GH and Sinfield to cut short his tenure, and now being an underdog is a sign of a team playing poorly. Jesus wept.'"
When you make decisions about coaches you have to support them through the really tough times and support the changes they want to make. You cannot be forever looking back as to how it was in your day and your methods of working. That was a major issue. If the coach is not supported by a senior player who is using a divide and conquer strategy with players in the squad the coach has no chance unless he removes the player which wasn't an option. Perhaps if Furner had a squad all pulling in the same direction things could have been different.

| That's nonsense. Under Furner we lost eight of our first ten games. He brought over the hopelessly unfit Lolohea and kept picking him, amongst other bad decisions. If Lolohea had been a world beater and we hadn't been playing terribly then even if JJB or others were muttering behind the scenes they wouldn't have been listened to.
Before us Furner's tenure of the Raiders was a chaotic mess. He was only appointed there because of his links with the club (sounds familiar?) and his dad. If he had been anyone else he would have been gone more than a year before he was eventually kicked out, with a 43% win rate over five generally dire seasons.
Once he was hooked at the Raiders he didn't get a look-in as a first team coach anywhere else for SIX years until Leeds brought him in. Lots of NRL jobs came and went in that time. Nobody else was interested.

Not defending Furner, but pretty sure Lolohea was a McDermott signing before the axe finally fell. Either that or he was a Sinfield signing before Furner arrived.

| Arthur - you may be right as Lolohea signed a month or so before Furner was announced as coach, but both he and Hurrell played for Tonga when Furner was assistant coach, and I think he probably had a lot to do with them both joining Leeds. Utter mare of a coach regardless.

| Can't work out whether you're serious or not - by that benchmark RS has still another 7 years to prove himself.....
"The 49-year-old Arthur had been Eels coach since 2014 and took the club to the grand final in 2022 where they lost to Penrith. But he failed to win a premiership in a decade at the helm and the Eels are languishing in 14th on the ladder with three wins from 10 games in 2024"
