Yep absolutely spot on. It was a great talk by both men. He’d probably make a good coach Bedsy. Some player he was

Paul Rowley proving his value again today. Salford beat Saints on a fairly regular basis.

Yep.
He would be my choice.
Trouble with coaches from Australia, is they tend to only stop a couple of seasons, as they either get an offer in the NRL or the wives get homesick.
We need stability for more than a couple of seasons.

Bit of a strange one this! Does Rowley stay where he is and carry on with the Salford project and be seen as the next big thing. Or does he jump ship and move to us with totally different pressures loose a few this year and we’ll all blame the squad Smith assembled. But a poor off season and a poor start and everyone will be calling for his replacement.

Can't see Salford agreeing to a release till the end of the season unless the money too good to turn down why would they!

They allowed him to talk with Hull FC the other week.... Rowley confirmed that live on Sky.

Redvee makes for interesting reading.

I wonder whether Rohan Smith would do a better job with them than Wellens, given that their forwards are at least capable of setting a platform most weeks. Wellens seems to like backs who can't run faster than he did in his playing days. I think Leeds made the right call with Hurrell, despite his regular good performances against us. They haven't blooded many young players this season, although they seem to have a decent crop brought through by Woolf. Wellens could be the next Cunningham in slowly taking them backwards. Of course we'd take their current league position and many players over where we are...
