I was thinking Cas, hacked a kick on in front of North Stand at Western Terrace end IIRC which led to a try

It was mid season 2000.

I'm being vague and need to narrow it down to either Cas or Wakey or Shudds. The ball was heading out of play on the right and Raynor stretched out a boot and hooked it back in for someone to follow up and score.

More to follow...... maybe.

Good we're on the same page. I'm thinking Cas as well.

For once S/Hudds isn't derogatory either as that was their one and only season.

Nine years is too recent for my memory without a bit of back up, now if it had been mid seventies.....

Edit: Extract from the YEP match Report:

But the game’s biggest call went Leeds’ way late on, when Cummings controversially awarded them the feed at a scrum which led to Iestyn Harris sending Barnhill over for the game-turning try.
Harris’ conversion gave Rhinos the lead and they sealed the game in stoppage time when Pratt got off his knees inside his own half to keep the ball alive on the final tackle and Lee Jackson and Walker linked to find substitute Gareth Raynor.
He did remarkably well to kick ahead twice and Aussie Graham Mackay ran through an exhausted defence to touch down, Harris goaling from the touchline.

Well there ya go, I stand corrected.
