The signing of DB has also put an edge (2004ish) on Diskin’s game so IMO we’ll do just fine without him.
I'd agree with that. we've done ok so far. I think the acid test will come on Sunday and how well we bounce back for the following game away at Warrington.

Injuries are sadly part of life as a RL player, we as a club are very lucky that we have very good replacements in most positions, that is what makes the Rhinos a back to back championship winning side imo, as we don't have that many weak links throughout our squad, and we don't miss our injured players as much as most other sides in SL do.
I'll happily settle for McShane in the starting 17 on sunday just as i will be happy for both Watkins and Allen if they are selected, they are all inexperienced at this level admittedly, but they are all good enough

Two knee reconstructions and persistant hamstring trouble before we signed him in the case of Clyde. Part of the hamstring is used to replace the torn cruciate and this can lead to instability (we have a young centre with the same problem). Clyde was in bad shape, Buderus is a picture of health compared to Clyde.

Its a source of constant amusement that some people are constantly puzzled and annoyed as to why rugby players get injured, here are some words that may act as clues...
