I seem to remember on one of the pre season videos on YT he said "I don't want to be playing at Fev, I want to be playing at Leeds" which in fairness, is probably his ultimate feeling. I just found it slightly disparaging to Featherstone..
or it could be someone else's attitude being wrong
I think we are all aware of the weaknesses on the field , but our coaching team really need to think very carefully about our tactics - they are currently way off the pace - eg, 1. why are we dying with the ball on the last tackle - where`s our grubber kick ( watch Saints on Friday night ) 2. who in their right mind puts a young hooker at centre , when you have back rower onthe field who has played there before 3. you don`t play a young prop when he is not fit - he was playing on one leg 4. playing against a strong wind , so first kick is up in the air - 40 metres forward , 30 back- it is brainless 5. our half time team talk should be tactical and motivational - ours put the team to sleep for 20 minutes. - what are Agar and Long all week ?????
We seem coached to the nth degree to build pressure, build pressure, build pressure. The plan seems to stop short of actually putting points on the board. Until that changes we get beat convincingly by the good sides, win or lose narrowly against the mediocre ones, and occasionally shine against the least capable.

With respect i think this squad is better than that. I still aee us challenging for a top 4 spot
A few bodies back and we are better than most i feel.

Ever the optimist. I would agree that our first choice 17 can match it with anyone. All depends how we go on injury and suspension front. I think the quality drop off is less in Wigan, Saints, Wire, Catalans……
Saints are miles ahead of everyone Shabs. Their line speed and defence means they rarely concede 10 points, i know their was plenty on here who thought we could go toe to toe at with them at the start of the year. I never once thought that.
We can challenge for top 4 tho, like you say injuries and suspensions are key and so far they arent looking good.
