Well we'll get a chance to see on Friday. I imagine the whole game plan will be simplified to run hard, tackle hard, play for position. I'm not convinced our forwards as a group can play that way, even though its the most basic form of RL. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I just hope we don't get embarrassed on this occasion.

Leigh are a decent attacking side in decent form too. When we played them at their place I thought we had to play well in the second half to beat them.

Nothing is guaranteed in sport, we might lose the game but I hope the crowd respects the occasion either way.

In the context of this season, it's also fair to say this is a big game though.

I can't see us winning, just hope we put up some sort of fight.

It’s a really interesting game for a few reasons.

It will be an emotional but special night, it will affect the players, but it could be in a good way.

How will the players react to Rohan not being in charge.

A win could kickstart a decent start to the second half of the season.

Again and as usual contrary to majority opinion, I don't think the Leeds players lacked effort against Hull last week. When they came out, the away fans were great and the atmosphere was pretty electric - you could see Handley, Newman and others were very up for the game.

I don't think effort is our main problem, I think it's quality and game planning.

I agree. there wasn't, and hasn't been for 18 months, a coherent style of playing. no idea what went on in training but it wasn't on tactics or game plans

Injuries aside, there wasn't enough form for me when we did have something close to a first choice side out, which was the damning thing. A consistent rumble of discontent from some players too, although again it's hard to separate truth from sour grapes when RS was on a mission to cut dead wood.

Maybe GH was right and RS was really good at putting in place structures and stuff behind the scenes, but for I'm sure a multitude of reasons he didn't produce enough on the field and no arguments with him leaving.

Hopefully whoever comes in next has a better platform to work from than RS inherited. Blease has a huge part to play in this next phase for us.

As you say GH has talked in very general terms about RS doing a lot behind the scenes. I’m not trying to be argumentative here, but does anyone know the detail of this work?

There is nothing obvious from the outside , we don’t look particularly fit in fact I think we look a bit weak as well as fairly slow.
