The remarkable performance that followed in the second half almost made the dismissal worthwhile.
Looked a much better team without him that day didn't we?

Although I suppose he gets "credit" for missing the 1995 Premiership debacle this is easily off set by his "effort" in the CC Final where, by his own admission, he wasn't focused because of the other players getting SL loyalty bonuses that he was missing out on.

Gallagher is now Headteacher at Colfe's Preparatory School in South-East London and an after dinner speaker.

I don't know what Gallagher is doing now. I assume the fella has made more of himself than signing on the dole.

Indeed. Why Schoey needs to slag Gallagher off again after all this time is beyond me. He's obviously still jealous.

The fact that RLW ran this story reflects badly on their editor.

Agreed. I think he reads these boards. A right of reply Richie?

Must admit i thought the best bit of yesterdays phone -in was when he was giving his opinion of warrington.and stated that if its Briers,Gleeson or John clarke creating problems in the dressing rooms then they have to go as Player power cannot be tolerated at any club!!!FFS!!!!

Should never mention his name in the same breath as Shoey!

As much now as it was then! Who can forget Schoffy's imortal words to Alf Davies when he heard of the signing, "I thought I was No.1 at this club?".

Is that when Alf replied 'No Garry, you're just No.2 round here.'
