Thought Leeds were the more skillful team, but HKR built pressure and had slightly better discipline when it counted.
In fairness to Lisone, he had to make that tackle or they scored. He just got it wrong enough (given the new interpretations) to pay for it. On the bright side we competed hard on an absolute glue patch and perhaps didn't get the luck we were always going to need to get the win. Impressed with Croft, Ackers, Smith and Bentley. Thought young Edgell did very well in the circumstances. Handley looks in tremendous nick this year, maybe a yard quicker than I've ever seen him. Ruan should have got more time. Won't be throwing my blue and amber rattle out of the pram as a result of this one. Desperately need Oledzki, Holroyd and Miller back next week.

We didn’t look like we could win the game. Lack of props meant that we lacked yardage and compressed the space (but we play very flat anyway).
We need more troops, especially big ones. We also need to learn how to win the ground and play off the back of it instead of having 25M gain sets and constantly defending out line.
Edgell stood up really well in the circumstances.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

I thought our attack showed a few glimpses of improvement in the 1st half, especially considering the state of the pitch. Edgell did enough to show that he can be the understudy to Miller without having to shuffle the backline around. What was disappointing was the lack of discipline and field position in the 2nd half, very similar to last season. We won a game last week that was suggested we would have lost last season. Tonight was very much like last season, we competed well but came away with nothing.
Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.
Inconsistency is the word for this game start of the game we looked good but didn't turn our pressure into points. With the rules as they are Donaldson was probably lucky to only receive a yellow will probably get 2 or 3 games ban. Jack Smith decision making was very inconsistent for me pulling forward Passes for us but KR got away with clear as day ones, the decision to not give the offside from Bentley's offload when Litten picked it up from infront of the KR player who patted the ball down was a massive call in the game that the officials got wrong at 14-12. He then penalises our captain for dissent for challenging his wrong call next set HKR score a try that kills the game off, perfect example of why captain's challenge should be used in Super League. It's only round 2 I hope we don't go to panic stations on here, hopefully we start getting our big bodies back the likes of Oledzki & Holroyd soon. Outstanding try from Handley again great vision from Croft hopefully as the season goes on and pitches get firmer we see more magic moments like that from Croft and our other spine players.

We knew 3 months ago we needed another prop but we decide to put 2 light weight 2nd rowers there instead
