I’m OK with this, it improves our squad for this year, something we needed. It also recognises the brain farts he’s had in the past. Any further extensions can only really be a year at a time.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Disappointed with the club's management on this. He will improve us on the field, but the bad outweighs the good for me. Bringing the serial offender back sends the wrong message.
Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.

Think it’s a case of ‘beggars can’t be chooses’ at the minute…..

Do you not even Agee that bringing Zak in will significantly increase the crowd for Friday and make the match more appealing?

given the issue you seem to have with a "team spirit" (or lack of) at the club, I would have thought this is the last thing you would need. All I need now is that Michael Jackson popcorn meme......

First and second choice fullback injured 3 out of 4 wingers injured 2 out 3 centres injured (not counting Simpson) both first choice out. First choice halves out. Literally only 1 off our first 1-7 available.
High class player all be it considerable baggage becomes available, we really had to make the deal. See what happens for next year. At best another 12 months tolling or even 6 months

Why would it? I get a feeling that his abilities are being exaggerated by some to justify what an absolutely awful decision the club has made. I remember when the club used to hold itself in a higher regard and claimed to have higher standards than other SL clubs. I also remember GH being particularly outspoken about clubs signing players from the NRL who'd misbehaved.
Rod Studd has just made a very good point on Twitter - the most important individual at any club is the one that recruits the players. Who is behind our recruitment?

Studd is pretending to be ignorant. Everyone knows how it works at Leeds, Hetherington does the negotiating but the coach has buy in on signings. Whenever he gets another DOR in that will change slightly. None of Leeds' head coaches have ever had an issue with how this works.
"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."

Rohan Smith will have had virtually no input into this except probably getting some assurances from GH that Zak would be fine. What input could he have other than what's on here - on paper he'll improve the team but he sounds like a tool.
