Just a break down of what our 2024 roster is looking like. Been told Fusitu'a has definitely resigned, Bentley has been offered a deal and close to signing after his negotiations with 2 SL clubs broke down apparently Hudds & Hull FC we're the ones in for him.

The Leeds is making a top class Half back a priority to partner Frawley.

Myler will be main utility to cover all spine positions 1,6,7 &9.

Rhyse will also cover centre the clubs relationship with Nene Macdonald seems pretty much dead in the water and it'll take a lot for them to get back on good terms with each other so the club are also looking for a new Centre.

Donaldson & Ruan will cover at Prop to make up for loss of Walters.

Finally Rowan Milnes is hesitant at joining now because he wants to be a 1st choice Half which it looks like he won't be if he signs with us or if he stays at Hull KR.

That's what I got updated today after asking about what comes after Frawley deal.

Looks about right so far. New centre and new half must be decent players and even then I'm not convinced by this side I'll be honest. I'd rather we didn't re-sign Bentley and found a strike second rower instead.

I thought we'd already quashed that urban myth? Leeds will pay a fee - a big one - if they deem it worthwhile.

Yep. Was it 175K for Gale? There or thereabouts.

I didn't realise it was as much as that. Who have been the other examples of big fees paid in recent years, say the last decade. I don't profess to follow the finances a great deal though does the stadium build and COVID recovery alter that thinking?

The paid a transfer fee (on top of the Tui swap) for Lui. Think that was about 50k.

I'm guessing we'd be looking at around 200 for croft with the worry of him exiting to the NRL after a short stint being a concern, especially with situations like MacDonald and in the past segeyaro.

I’ve been watching some positive affirmations on you tube to try and get me into a happy space, like Christopher and Barmy army. It made me feel a bit nauseous but I think it’s an age appropriate response.

I don’t watch much NRL but I’ve looked at a few names mentioned by others on here.

Given we have Frawley now as a steady away character at 6, (I’m looking forward to him dropping it off to Newman and Bentley). God it might be working. Anyway I’d rather we went for a young scrum half like a Lachlan Lam as opposed to Croft. I like the look of Ronald Volkman, he’s got a bit of flair about him. No idea if it’s realistic.

To resume a bit of normal service now we have Frawley we definitely don’t need to go drop-off tastic by getting Milnes as well.

Also not sure about Lee as Hurrell MK2.

Realistically, the recruitment of Frawley is about where we're at.
As much as I would love us to go for Croft and still believe we should, I just don't think it's realistic given where we are.
If he were to stay in SL he would go to Saints, Wigan or Cats, but most likely he'll go back to NRL, especially if Sezer can get a gig.

We are competing with Hudds, Hull & HKR for the middle places in the League.
And that is reflected in the quality of the recruitment.
It's just the current reality.
I'm prepared to give him a chance and see how he goes, but expectations are relatively low.

I still think we should be busting a gut to get Burgess.
Given he's a Leeds fan we should have the edge.
But I expect he'll go to Wire.
They'll offer big money and Sam will probably give George a job on the coaching team, so sadly, would make sense.

That front row needs another addition to get back up in the 4 with Mik returning to form too.

Croft I think is just supporter talk of someone whos the level we need to be looking at whilst also somewhat attainable. It may be that the sale of Dupree has enabled them to resist offers, plus I cant see GH putting up a fee like Wigan did.

Or vice versa.

Warrington have said Tom Burgess won’t be signing for them
