Taken from a decent Aaron Bower article...
Average metres per game (selected players) Lachlan Miller – 182 metres (11 NRL games) Matt Dufty – 117 metres (22 Super League games) Bevan French – 101 metres (22 Super League games) Jack Welsby – 101 metres (22 Super League games)
Also Miller has 78 tackle busts in 11 games, with Myler on 26 tackle busts in 19 games.

Very good signing but will need a decent pack and an organising half. Don`t shoot me down on this one but would Mitchell Pearce be any good for a year?

Pearce is supposedly going back to the NRL with the Roosters favourites to sign him

Lachie Miller is a great signing IMO as there isn't a substitute for players having pace. How many games have Field and French won for Wigan by just being too fast for the opposition? Neither of these 2 players were house hold names in the NRL either.
He needs to be the starting 1 though and we urgently need a controlling half back to give him the space to cause havoc
Brodie Croft would be a great signing and even whilst paying a transfer fee, although a release fee for an NRL return would have to be far better than the ones in place when we previously lost Innes,Eastwood etc etc
Rumours have it that we also want Milnes from Hull KR,I'm not sure that he is the quality of player we need to solve our half back problems
I would love Hastings at the Rhinos down the line as he was great in SL at both Salford and Wigan

Can't count the occasions over the last few years when I've sat despondent waiting for one of our players to beat a man/break a tackle. Newman can do this, but he's been out so much over the last couple of years that he hasn't been able to bring his talent to bear. If you can get three players like that in your side you are a nightmare to play against. Big step in the right direction.

Potentially a very good signing this.
It's worth noting that the NRL count all run metres, not metres gained. So that's why the metres stats always seem a lot higher
