I hope he does well but Warrington are a far different team than what Leeds was when Smith took over. He has a big job on his hands thats for sure. I mean he didnt do all that well at Hudds with a load of Aussies, came to Leeds and had a nucleus of local talent and did well. Now are Wire its yet again a load of over paid cr4p Aussies

I'd disagree slightly with that comment as the number of young players we have coming through now is one of the best in SL - albeit as a result of injuries in previous seasons. Penny, Mitchell, Cooper, Blythe ..... and there are a few more. On top of that, John Bastian (remember him - responsible for your youth set-up in recent seasons) and Peter Farrell (Andy's dad) are currently signing some top youngsters (15-17 year olds) from both the local area and further afield - Yorkshire, Cumbria & South Wales.

Most fans will be happy to give Smith the time if he achieves what he did at your place - it's much better than carrying on with Lowes on his own, who was obviously out of his depth.

Staying on at England part-time

Thought the whole point of getting rid of Noble was to have a full-time coach

That was then this is now. No coach needed by England at all is the next logical step.

I agree that, given time, he might do well. But you have to ask yourself if whole Warrington club is set up correctly? you now have youth coming through but you still ahve to catch up with Leeds and Saints on that score and it WILL take time!!! Sinfield played his first senior game in 98 and it took us until 2004 to win a trophy!! Plus I have heard rumblings from your own supporters that your chief exec doesn't know what he's doing?

He is a great coach but you need more than just that nowadays. I also wouldn't be suprised if he doesn't see eye to eye with some of your "Superstars" either

I'm not cynical, just well informed

That's the best thing that could happen to Warrington

I wonder if Tony is thinking of encouraging some Leeds players to join him at Warrington. Hopefully this won't happen.

FWIW I reckon Briers and a few other weak links could be forced out at the end of the season, if not sooner.

If I were a Leeds player I would need some serious wonga to persuade me to drop down a level. I doubt they have much room on the cap either

I thought all our players hated TS and his coaching methods?
