Probably not much choice. It's difficult to sit down without dislocating your hips and/or your knees.

Row C in the family stand had at least 6" more legroom that the rows in front and behind so we had much better seating than we were expecting , and with getting them on the season ticket offer they were half price - sorted !

No it isn't, I went to Ellend Road for that forgettable Tri Nations final, and the legroom was utterly shocking. I know most footballers are weedy wimps but the fans too?
I'd prefer getting soaked on Headingley's Western Terrace than spend 80 minutes at Elland.
Elland Road is a football stadium, and with the exception of the three quarters of the East Stand, and the upper tier of the West Stand, the whole of Elland Road has been terracing, and built for terracing.
The Kop/Gelderd End was rebuilt in 1968 with a roof on, all terraced. The East Stand was finally finished in 1993, but if you notice, the bottom ten or so rows are the remains of the old Lowfields Road end. The South Stand was finished in 1975, year after Leeds won the league title, and this was terracing too. The paddock in the West Stand used to be terracing until the 1960's/1970's.
It was only in 1995 when it became compulsive to have seats in football stadia that the operation had to begin inserting seats. So, seats were crammed into old terracing. Can you imagine seats being inserted to the South Stand, or Western Terrace, or even the old St Michael's end? That's the same scenario we're talking of.
So... Feel free to get off your high horses. You could have got out of your seats and watched it at the bar, or even better, go home and watch it from the safety of your own living room. Moan, moan, moan.

God our fans are an embarrassment.
i agree, so much so, that i am currently recruiting 9 fellow upstanding members of the RL community to join me in a box at all RL events, this way I (and my fellow priviledged few) shall avoid the hoards of feckwitts that follow the club!
For the record, I got fed up of the feckwitts around me and I sat with the Manly fans, who happened to be much more informed about the game!
REMEMBER, A TVOC IS FOR LIFE, NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS!
