Gildart has been offered a contract, which shocked me. No word on whether he has taken it or not. There is swap deal on the cards aswell with a full time starter but wouldn’t tell me anymore but says if it comes off it will be very good. I also mentioned about a shake up again, that with Catalans, Wigan and Cas, not really sure what’s proposed but it sounds a bit ominous. Next update is Thursday.
All intriguing stuff…everyone thought/assumed that releasing Prior would be to be able to bring in MacDonald from Leigh, but IF we’ve offered a contract to Gildart (god knows why by the way) then there would be no need to being in another starting centre so if Gildart does sign, where are we planning on using the freed up quota spot??

There's a reason he got dumped by one of the worst teams in the NRL....his defence was horrible. He's quick and has got good evasion, but he's pretty small for a centre, particularly in Oz.

Is it a straight swap with Liam Tindall for Josh Addo-Carr? I'd probably take that....

What’s the relevance of Catalans, Wigan and Cas?

I've been told by a source from We've made contact with Brayden Williame Fijian International who played for Catalans. This source told me about Ruan & Hooley before they were announced. Williame has been playing Union in France bur Rohan Smith has apparently made contact with him about returning too League

Thanks for this clear and precise info sharky64 and it should be a lesson to some of the Watch this space as there's a signing incoming quotes that don't actually tell us ow't, despite them supposedly being in the know?
IMO I think that Gildart would actually be a good fit for us tbh, He's clearly not big enough or physical enough to play in the NRL but he would be an upgrade on Sutty and he also doesn't take a quota space up either. I hope that the swap deal on the cards is Tetevano for Tom Burgess, Now that would be a fantastic bit of business (You can hope and pray)

I'd prefer Williame over Gildart but either is an upgrade on Sutcliffe. Seem to remember Williame heading to NRL after a few very decent seasons with Catalan.
