Phillips out for 6 weeks. Massive loss. Especially with Llorente and possibly Struijk injured as well

We needed cover for Kalvin. I’m a bit annoyed we didn’t sort that. 4 injured and we re down to bare bones a bit.. thankfully Llorente will be back shortly and so will Cooper

Makes the Barkley signing even more significant now.
We were always short in midfield unless Forshaw can get back sooner than planned.
Struijk would have filled Phillips role but not sure who will do it now.
I`m assuming Struijk, Cooper and Llorente will miss Friday`s game along with Phillips.
Maybe Dallas will slot in the holding role with Alioski to LB?
Forgot the name of the guy who has covered the CH role before.

Stuijk will replace Phillips according to Bielsa, although he isn't sure if cooper will be fit.

So I wouldn't be surprised to see Ayling at CB, Dallas at RB and Alioski at LB

Good news. Struijk is decent in that role

funnily enough i reckon it gives us more defensive solidity with him there although it will see our transitions affected somewhat. hopefully Cooper makes it and its just the one change. i reckon when Llorente gets fit shortly we will see Koch in the Phillips role for a few games.

Speaking of Koch, he's been superb so far.
