My mates reiterated he's 100% serious...he said he saw Gary Hetherington chatting to John Kear about an hour ago just up from the Rhinos shop... doesn't mean anything really.. bloody hope not!! I don't if John Kear is under contract anywhere?

Kear is head coach at Widnes
My mate told me Widnes want £250 and bag of bibs to release him but Hetherington so far will only pay £50 and 4 of Ryan Bailey’s old jockstraps. Negotiations are expected to go through the night.

This year has been so bad (almost all of it) that Smith has burned through the credit he built up at the end of last season. I think this is why people are so frustrated, we've been here a hell of a lot over the last 6-7 years.
Completely disagree. Think the squad we’ve had is good enough for top 4. We’ve beaten Wigan and Saints away for gods sake! For lots of reasons we’ve fallen off a cliff. Needs a long hard review, but Rohan to keep going with it and stick to his principles. Will bear fruit longer term…..

Something has to change otherwise we are just doing what Einstein suggested was the definition of madness.
Tetevano, Fusitu'a, Austin and Sezer are all OOC. The first two are a laughable waste of marquee spots. Austin at least has a dig, and I'd think replacing two halfbacks would be too hard on one go, so if given a choice I'd keep him.
What really gets my goat is after yesterday's sh@t show the coach coming out and laying the blame solely at the players feet, covering his own hide not a great way to get the lads on your side and also making himself cheap.

If the squad is good enough for top 4, why are you happy with what we are producing and why is that not down to the coach. I’m sure yesterday was better on the radio but it was utterly abysmal live

When and where did he say that? If anything he seems very loyal and protective of the players. To a fault, I would say. Compare that with Watson at Huddersfield, who thinks nothing of hanging players out to dry in front of the media. Whatever you think of Smith he has resisted the temptation to single out individuals. He must have been sorely tempted yesterday.
