How to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory - Hull tried to give us the game and we weren`t good enough to take it - a very frustrating night , with numerous areas of concern . My no. 1 priority would be Aiden Seizer - apart from a 40;20 and a pass for a try - he did nothing . Smith needs to sit him down now and decide if he wants to play for us or not . As already said on here , our spine is poor , but we cannot carry a no. 7 . No. 2 - all our backs need catching practice and shown how to challenge on our attacking kicks . This is not rocket science , but bloody frustrating to watch these failings each week.

Some really poor defence for their tries. Powderpuff stuff.
On the passive defence, I think it's about maintaining the integrity of the line against a big pack. With some solid additions to the front row I'd have expected to see less of it this season. It also didn't work when their big lad came off the bench
Anyone thinking that was a good display is easily pleased. Defence terrible. Attack pretty much non existent in the main. One of the backs only ever running sideways or backwards. For all the critism (some deserved) of dwyer last year thought he was far better than Leeming. Too slow with everything most of the time On the plus side though sangare and holroyd did well.

Around 16,200 iirc.
I was talking to someone from the club on Wednesday afternoon and was told that 15,000 tickets had been sold at that point, so was expecting 17k-18k to be in attendance on the night. I guess everyone bought tickets early.

Sezer is not an off the cuff player. He needs quality and consistent ball from 9. Until we give him that I agree may as-well sit him down…..
