You showed how to overcome that grubbiness by playing around it and not rising to it. Chris Hill et al, take note!
FWIW I remarked to my old man how much Leeds have come on, credit to everyone involved. We missed a trick not grabbing Lui/Martin had it been possible... now we’re stuck with Matty Smith! As others have said, what a prospect you have in Newman too.
All the best for the rest of the season (13th Sept aside )!
Cheers, lets hope for both clubs the game at Headingley is a dead rubber, well selfishly let’s hope for us it is
FWIW the worst thing you did to Hill was give him the captaincy its made him a worse player which is a shame

I think there is still room for improvement in the team, but there is clearly a real team spirit now. Defensively we look a different team to the one of the last two years. 1try conceded in 2 matches is a testament to that.
Not safe yet, bit we don't look like a team who'll go down.
If results go our way, we'll be 2 wins clear of most teams, and 3 clear of London. And 1 more win would do it

The club management has come in for some heavy criticism over the last few months, but the decision to bring in Lunt and let Watkins’s go has proved for me the turning point of the season. Obviously this has proved highly successful. Also giving the captaincy to merrin seems to have worked pretty well. Hopefully if we can pick up some more victories, the season will end up on a relatively high note. The playing squad seem happy within themselves, which may have an influence on the appointment of the next coach. If an experienced test player like merrin goes to Sinfield and says this agar bloke is a good coach he may be awarded a permanent contract. Or assistant coach to the new incoming coach. It’s worth remembering that agar inherited this shambles. So he is blameless on that. I note that the Warrington coach who was the new messiah is no longer flavour of the month. So they may well be looking out for a new coach, especially if they get a good Wembley thumping.
Great effort from the boys despite the poor refereeing. Myler went well and lui is the difference without him we had a blip and as soon as he came back on we picked up. Lunt is fantastic in his early stint and in martin we have a proper player. Good recruitment by the board credit where it's due.
That was a great level headed performance last night, we didn’t crack and we didn’t bite to Catalans dirty, Grubby tactics, apart from the Singleton incident which I loved to be fair because I can’t stand Kasianos dirty ways. Peteru should get his place back now. Martin was outstanding and with a pre season behind him will be even better, Lui added everything we needed go forward, Kick dimension, pressure, plus more. I hate to say it but with Lui, Myler is a different player, but will it continue? Lunt I personally think is going great, two very controlled and strong starts, I would like to think though if we were throwing a game away or being too erratic, we would bring him back in to steady things, he adds a lot. Ava is easily one of the best props in the league and Cuthbo is trying really hard again. Merrin as Captain is fantastic, Briscoe did really well and as expected he got some serious pasty. All the players played well apart from our two, Singleton and Ferres. Singleton for Peteru and Ferres for Ward.
As people have said, a great performance particularly given singletons brainfart.
We are far from safe though and nobody should get carried away as we have tough games ahead. The key one is to beat London. Do that and then the pressure on London will be too much and they will go down.
Really good to see us backing up last week's great result and performance. Consistency is the key from here on in.
