"But all the players here now are united to finish the season strongly and we face five crucial games as we look to secure a play off spot, starting at Huddersfield Giants on Sunday."

I'm sure some people will find everything positive in their nice fuzzy little world

I think the only one left who is 'glass nearly full' is leedsbarmyarmy who thinks we're all daft. Christophers positivity has had its limits stretched I think.

I think you’ve got me all wrong to be honest. Been 8th in the table and not performing each week isn’t acceptable. We should be up near the top each year as we are one of the biggest clubs in super league.

I just don’t agree when people say, for example, the coach is sh it, all the players are sh it, etc. it’s just not as simple as that.

I also don’t agree when people are bagging the club on recruitment for next year, when it’s still August and we have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes. I’ll save my criticism for the club when we see the 2024 squad taking shape towards the back end of the year.

But I’m sure I’ll still be labelled a cheer leader as I’m not going with the forum narrative of criticising the club for very thing they do.

But you’ve got it right on the glass half full thing, that’s how I live my life. Nothing wrong with been a positive person and I don’t allow a sport to dictate my mood, from reading these threads, a lot of people should try it sometimes.

Im not positive about this year, it’s done. Ill still enjoy going to the games because I enjoy going to watch the games.

I’ll reserve judgement on next year until I see the squad finalised.

Agreed, especially your last paragraph.

All very fair comments and you are right re the last paragraph. I think peoples apprehensions re recruitment can be understood though owing primarily to yet another poor season, the significant holes to fill, current indications not being great yet and previous disappointing recruitment. I'm working on being more positive, in all aspects not just rugby, which I think I hold too much as an escape then get frustrated at well, getting more frustrated.

Yeah I understand some of the concerns but some seem to think we’re not making anymore signings and have written off next year already, which is baffling at this stage of the season.

Good to hear mate, it’s good to have many “escapes” so when one isn’t giving you the required happiness you can move to another. Rugby league isn’t as big in my life as it used to be, maybe that’s why it doesn’t get me as worked up as it does to others.
