Without either significant changes to the playing squad, coaching team, or style of lay we employ, it could easily be 5 years before we win anything else given recent showings in important games.

5 years??? Given where we were 12 months ago? It's like you want people to bookmark this and highlight it when it's proven wrong.
Sometimes a better team wins on the day, happened to Sinfield, Peacock and co, a few times especially in CC Finals.
If we listened to people on here after finishing trophlyess in 2010 and 2013 we'd have dismantled the team and coach before we could win a few more GF's, finally nail a CC and compete a treble.

Firstly the best team won and I thought they put in a tremendous performance with Watts outstanding. They played the ball very quickly and managed to slow ours right down.
Briscoe was just awful but that is not why we lost. They out-enthused and out kicked us and our pack were all disappointing. Ferris and Singleton in particular are not good enough and Garbutt looks slow and ponderous. But as I said Hull were very good and would have beaten mots teams today. Lets hope for a Hull v Wigan tough final that exhausts them both.

What makes you think it won't be 5 years? The CEO is much more interested in investing in the ground than the team, the experienced players who have been there and done it are all leaving or retired, the current crop of kids are not yet up to scratch to lead a renaissance, and our recruitment has been bargain basement or fortunate (Segeyaro and Parcell were both very last minute).
Honestly speaking unless we change the coach, the playing style or a large portion of the squad, what makes you think we can challenge for honours in the next few years?
I get your loyalty to the club, but open your eyes, this is a very different scenario to 2010 or even 2013.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.
Excellent performance from Hull, better than us in every department today. Hall, McGuire and Watkins are the only ones who can hold their heads high on our side.

Did you copy and paste this from 5 years ago
Same nonsense was written after failing to win the CCF in 2010, 2011 & 2012.

Today highlighted everything we need sorting to get back to winning finals imo from off the Pitch to on it. The pack is predominently too old & has too many same type players , we still lack a genuine General at HB we don't have a genuine enforcer & that right edge has been a problem for 2yrs. Recruitment on & off the pitch need addressing & just like when Harris left all those years ago we have to adapt better without Sinfield & JP because today their absence was glaringly obvious & they've been gone 2yrs. Mc.D ,Eaton etc were completely out thought & that 17 completely outplayed across the board.
