Cas Till I Die wrote:Lots of quotes here about trophies, I might join a liverpool FC forum so I can read the same things about past glories. Just remember ladies and gents that before 2004 it took you 32 years To win a championship, what's to say it might not be a little longer this time ??? And I know historically we haven't won what you have but let's be honest we are a town of 40k not a major U.K. City of over half a million.. historically you should have won more in a minor northern sport but for a city steeped in sporting failure such as yours I doubt you will care
I'd rather bang on about recent past glories and title wins than half a season of good home performances.
If Cas are so good then why not show a bit of patience and wait a few months when Cas inevitably sweep up the trophies this year to tell us you're now the top team in West Yorkshire? You worried it might not happened so desperate to have your pat on the head now in case the chance goes begging in a few months?

I like the way Cas play and I will not begrudge them if they win with good rugby. They have been lucky to have kept Gale fit over recent seasons as most of their play goes through him. Without Gale they will be no where near as effective. This highlights the need for Leeds to sign a specialist quality half back even if only for a couple of seasons to allow youngsters to come through.

Cas are the best side in the comp at the moment and they are clearly the darlings of the media and rightly so
Cas do remind me a lot of Warrington when they were in their pomp when they were regularly winning the Challenge Cup (but couldn't win a Grand Final even if it was handed on a plate for them,They lost in a GF to the lowest ever ranked finalists in the Rhinos,They also blew a big first half lead in 2013 before being hammered by Wigan)
My opinion on sides that are in their pomp is that they have to deliver the trophies Say what you want about the Rhinos but we certainly delivered the silverware on a regular basis when we were the media darlings
Will Cas be another Wolves or will they full fill their potential and win the trophies that are there's for the taking this year?

Cas by plenty. They'll be steady for the first quarter then they'll bring the big units on and take control. How narky are some loiners about little Cas? Funny!

Cas fans are dining out on league wins. That says it's still your cup final, where as we hammered you the last time we were in an actual final.
Come back when you win something. Until then go f*ck ya sister who might be your mother!
Hook line and sinker!
You beat us 23 10. Hardly a hammering. With 15 minutes to go in was 16-10. The following tea against KR was a hammering. Dont forget just 18 months previous we had been rock bottom , coach sacked and a laughing stock of the league. We are better equipped this season with far more quality then the 2014 side which came close to winning the cup and LLS. How does your side compare this season to your 2014/15 side ?
"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."
An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

To put it in perspective Powell said early in the year it wasn't all about this season as he was building something special for the next few seasons. Steve Gill has also said we are 2 seasons in front of where we planned to be at this stage. Contract extensions of our best players and some superb young talent coming through would seem to give some credence to all this. Prepare to be 2nd best for quite a few more years yet.

You were battered in that game, like a rabbit in the headlights. One sided final. Outclassed in every department.
I don't really care about the actual Cas team in terms of what happens next. I've been very open about my support for Cas and always had a soft spot for them as I played my junior rugby in the Cas and District comp. I've always said if Saints could be at the top then why can't Cas. It's good to see.
But many a good team before haven't gone on to dominate. Cas fans are acting like a teenager watching his first porno! Dining out on League wins and mocking Leeds for brining up former glorys when we were still defending champions this time last year.
