I was thinking if that was something that suited Arthur as much as Leeds, in that he was free for another NRL job next season. It maybe that he wants the job full-time in which case he would then be offered a fulltime contract.

Yep. He would be my choice. Trouble with coaches from Australia, is they tend to only stop a couple of seasons, as they either get an offer in the NRL or the wives get homesick. We need stability for more than a couple of seasons.
Bit of a strange one this! Does Rowley stay where he is and carry on with the Salford project and be seen as the next big thing. Or does he jump ship and move to us with totally different pressures loose a few this year and we’ll all blame the squad Smith assembled. But a poor off season and a poor start and everyone will be calling for his replacement.
