The only one that’s a doubt for me is the Utility because I think that’s more to shoe horn Connor in rather than truly a need week to week, perhaps he doesn’t play unless there are injuries or loss of form somewhere?
Regardless of how we feel they all performed, there is no denying that Miller, Croft, and Frawley all managed to stay fit fir the vast majority of the season. The odds would be against all of them doing that again. That's where Connor would come in for me. Maybe if he hits form he might displace Frawley. On the other hand, I could stomach him at centre if it meant two NRL props and a second row.

They've both previously had injuries on top of the concussions, having a year off they should be fit a fiddles now and in tip top condition. Should be like signing 2 players in terms of impact on the squad.
Still going to worry the first time one of them takes a bash to the head though.

It was interesting to hear Sam Tomkins (yes, I know) talking of how being away from playing for 8 months gave his 'career-ending' knee injury time to recover, before he returned to Catalans. His point was, that when injury strikes, the emphasis is to get that player back ASAP and the injury doesn't truly recover as a result. Not sure if that's relevant to Gannon and Holroyd but if it is, they may return fighting fit, as Broadacres hopes.

This is going to sound harsh, but we cannot keep carrying long-term injured in our squad. If Holroyd's shoulder or concussion issues mean he can't be available and play to a high enough standard then we need to move on from him. Ditto Gannon and Simpson. That's 3 players, or more than 10% of our squad, who played virtually no part this year. I know they can be scrubbed from the cap in a given season, but if they do come back others have to make way for them, and they have to be included in cap planning.

I would agree, and this season will be telling for those you've mentioned.. but.. I have a lot more sympathy and patience with home grown players than I would with a player like Fus. I doubt any of those you've mentioned have much impact on the cap, and if clubs took this view with all their players we wouldn't have had JJB and other players like Tom Johnson never would have made it in SL.
It can't be indefinite, but it is a different story to an overseas player on big money in the same situation. Plus the fact all three have massive potential, with Holroyd and Gannon particularly being in or around the England set-up at various times.
