Last 4-5 years under performed but lets not exaggerate only 2 clubs achieved more in last 10 tears.
We will get back up there.
You are right RT, ten years was too far back to make the point, More accurately We have been "disappointing" under the last 3 sacked coaches, The finger of blame cannot be pointed entirely at the coaches, the entire club (especially players), must bare responsibility, We as fans can hope for success but cannot demand or expect it in a salary capped sport.
The past is full of regrets The future of unknowns We must live in the present.

Jake Connor is an interesting one. Risky, to say the least. We are placing a lot of stock in Arthur's ability to control the dressing room. Ian Watson also gave the impression of being a disciplinarian, and look how that turned out. I don't see the likes of Wigan, Saints, Wire or even HKR giving him a chance.
But perhaps the kind of personality we need more of in the current team, alongside the likes of Bentley and Newman. Assuming they can all keep disciplined, that is. He's obviously a talented player and can cover a number of backline positions, which would be an asset.

Panga, Keary, Cotric and Whithead to Catalans. Feldt also to Saints. Hull and KR have also been active. That said, as long as we recruit well I'm not bothered. Just don’t want to see a scenario where NRL players are still drifting into camp in January.

Personally I hope we don't use Connor as a centre. He doesn't offer us any of the things we lack (pace/power) there. I'd really like to see him pushing for a place in the spine positions. In turn we can get Sinfield sorted out with a proper loan move and provide the week to week experience he needs. If Mom leaves we should use his spot on a proper ball carrying centre/winger, and the other two quota spots on props. However, if we could source a good English prop (Byrne) I'd be more than happy to go with one NRL prop and a second row. Including Hall, that would be six new players. Enough to make a big difference.

6 new players in the typical match-day 17 feels like the right number, and should be doable on the cap if we can move a couple more out. 1 Winger (Hall) 1 Centre (TBC), 2 Props (TBC), 1 Back Row (TBC), and 1 x Utility (TBC). The only one that’s a doubt for me is the Utility because I think that’s more to shoe horn Connor in rather than truly a need week to week, perhaps he doesn’t play unless there are injuries or loss of form somewhere?
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.
