There's now only 1 fixture clash per week, which will potentially result in higher ratings. It's annoying, as I prefer Fridays too, but I remember most people weren't happy about moving home games from Sunday to Friday, so we'll see how it affects crowds.

We might attract more students who tend to go out on the lash Friday night.
A few beers at HQ and on to the Otley Run might work out better for them.

Cat'll be happy with the Saturday evening kick offs. It'll only get my boot up it's ars£ on a Sunday instead of the full weekend.

Re Friday nights-
-I believe the RFL asked the clubs for their preferred day for home fixtures and 8 ( I assume Leeds ) stated a preference for Friday nights .
However RFL/Sky have taken on board some of the criticism from last season and have spread the games out from Thursday to Sunday with only 2 Friday night games clashing .
In theory the top game of the week will be on Friday
I think they are hoping to minimise any moving or fixtures- though take that with a pinch of salt .
