Let’s be honest . Promoting a day like this isn’t going to effect the numbers that much. Those in the know and who want to be there will be. Most neutrals or non rugby fans won’t be. Shouldn’t it be up up to the RFL to promote the event of they feel it’s worth it?

I doubt it’s Leeds that have come up with this offer, the tickets are for Championship games, they are the Championship clubs tickets to sell. Maybe some Championship clubs didn’t want Leeds selling cheap tickets incase fans bought from Leeds instead of their Championship club.

That may be why it's come late in the day but i've been told this is a deal Leeds requested.

But it comes back to being in Leeds' interests to maximise the crowds because we will be on a cut of the catering and the shop will obviously be open. And the larger the crowd the more chance it returns to Headingley in the future.

Pre Saturday lunch I saw a large group of fans walking through town and chanting we hate ? Dont know who it was ,but it wasnt we hate Leeds for once .I wonder if they got to the baah it looked like they were ready for a pub crawl
