We can’t control that but we can control suspensions
I get what you're saying, that suspensions are "more" controllable than injuries, but I don't think that injuries are unavoidable. There are factors under our control, such as conditioning, over exposure especially in the forwards and with younger players and player technique. Often players get injured, particularly HIA by getting themselves into poor positions to effect tackles. I'm not convinced that we are doing enough on these items to be able to look ourselves in the mirror and say we've done everything we can and its just down to luck.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

none of the forwards are injured though, they're all missing due to stupidity. the injured players are not youngsters either
Not sure I'd pick Johnson for this. Up against some streetwise rougharses and with no halves I think Dwyer starting and a bench filled with whatever battlers we can muster might be our best chance. Couple of scooted tries from Dwyer and a couple of magic moments from Newman - why, the win's almost a cert

We’re certainly underdogs and I’m expecting Wigan to win but this side should be able to put a decent effort in against Wigan, it’s not like it’s stacked full of young kids.

Wouldn`t have thought so. He came back on the field so presumably passed the HIA.

I mean dispite the players still missing its not a bad line up, 1-5 pretty much strongest we have, myler at 6 johnson at 7 seems most likely halfs with Sinfield on bench. Its just going with only 1 prop again thats the issue. But I don’t think its the gimme for Wigan that some are expecting, the odds are in their favour, but wouldn't surprise me if we got the result.
