Welsby I'll give you but Connor's defensive problems cancel out his magic moments. E.g. unilke Zak he wouldnt have put Ashton in 2 minds for that try attempt Wire that went wrong

Agree. Even Hull fans say Connor is a liability in defence. Zac is the best defender out of any fullback I’ve ever watched in SL….

I think Field / Welsby will go well in a standard SL match, however, I'd much rather have Hardaker at full back in a Grand Final or international match. Connor is not good enough defensively and French is similar to Field.

Walker may yet have a chance to shine this season. I agree he's currently well behind Hardaker and Myler, BUT, he has age on his side, he did show some glimpses of form before his injury (admittedly against Wakefield), and potentially he has the most to gain from a new coach coming in.

That said, if Hardaker does secure a longer-term deal and shows the right attitude, it doesn't look good for Walker's prospects. At his career stage he really needs to nail down a permanent first team slot, and if it can't be full back at Leeds he may well end up better served moving elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong, I rate Hardaker and he will bring a lot to the backline.
But I bet Saints and Hull fans wouldn't swap him for their FB.

And defensively not in Radlinski's league.
