What a stupid thread. How can any player be expected to come into the team and hit the ground running, especially without a competitive reserve competition and when the team is playing so poorly.

I worry for the club. We have young players coming towards the end of their contracts who need to playing. If they're good enough, they stay. If not they go. But the danger is they're left on the sideline and we end up retaining the usual plodders because we don’t know how to succession planning
