The none runners, etc, are because of the tactics and the halfs, not because of the other players. Confidence is down across the team because of what we keep repeating, effecting the other players. Sutcliffe has never outplayed Sinfield, or anyone else, he isn't an half simple as that. Last night however, at the very least he looked a super league player for once. I would persevere with that position, to at least allow his confidence to return.

I agree but that would be a case of leadership, not playing ability.
What tactics of the halves would cause players to run ineffective lines at slow pace, we never have any options in the middle.
Did you watch us last season? He pushed Sinfield out of the halves on merit and was way ahead of Williams in terms of development before he got injured
On what grounds is he not a half?

He could maybe do with a game at Fev where he would have a little more space and would get his confidence back

On the point of bad halves performances, there were many on here who wanted us to get rid of Mcguire a couple of years ago
We must remember that there is such a thing as bad form and I wouldnt completely write off any off them just yet
The way our pack has been beaten in just about every game it is no wonder we look desperate at times, you could count the quick PTBs in some games on one hand!

Sutty is a weird one, he is clearly a talented kid with a lot of potential. He's played 6 and I think 13 coming through, and 6, fullback, centre and a bit of back row in the first team.

A bit like Joel Moon, he belongs on a rugby league field, but doesn't really conform to a prototype for one position.

I feel for Sutcliffe. When he was show I by his best form last season, it was behind a dominant pack, outside the form hooker and in a team that others feared. That meant that he time to read the game and spot gaps. He doesn't seem to be an organiser or creator, more of a running half. So this suited him.

Now our pack is getting battered, our hooker is taking some time to settle in and the opposition that see we're a wounded animal. So for him he isn't getting the time to play his game. I didn't see him loads in the academy but can guess his size and power helped him beat opponents in a game where he has more time. Now he doesn't have that. So for someone like Lilley who is a traditional half, it's a little bit easier to play his game.

We need our pack to start providing a platform and the hooker to get quick ball. Otherwise our halves will struggle.

I agree with you Sutty is not a half back and yes I have said for some time his skill set is best suited to centre or possibly fullback.

I would be playing Lilley and Mags at halfback with Falloon and Burrow at 9. Burrow made 7 tackle busts last night and it was from his pass that Galloway scored although I am not sure it would count as a try assist but could have had 2 other try assists too had the ball been grounded properly so although he is not at his best his play at acting half back coincided with our best period of attacking play.

The other option would be to give Golding a run in the halves as his pace and attacking flair could be the spark we need. He is a bit wasted on the wing.

Don't worry about avoiding temptation.
