YEP says late withdrawal because of illness, hence Minchella getting added to the squad.

Strongest team possible for this one in my opinion, a win away at saints here would put us in a fantastic position. We have a relatively easy April with Wakefield twice (once in the cup), Bradford and Salford, before a very tough May with Wigan twice, Cas, Hull FC and Wire, before Hudds on 12th of June. We then don’t play any of the top clubs until the end of August, when we finish the season Saints, Wigan, Hull. If we can win 8 of the next 10 it would put us in a great position for the LLS, with an 8 match run in June, July, August, to perhaps rest a few and then 3 games at the end which should be a good build up for the play-offs.

So I would go

Hardaker,
Briscoe
Watkins
Ablett
Hall
Sinfield
Mcguire
JP
Aiton
Singleton
Delany
Kirke
Bailey

Burrow
JJB
Kylie
Ward

Keep it tight to start with, go big to try and take some of the juice out of Walmsley and Amor (if not banned), Saints seem to lose a lost when those two go off upfront, so around the 20-25 minute mark a switch to Kylie to try and punch some holes, JJB for some speed around the ruck, LMS has always had a bit of a struggle against agility and Masoe is a big lad but I can imagine Burrow having a field day against him.

Amor it sounds like might have an EGP left to use so could be ok to play. Wilkin could be facing disciplinary this week also and could be out.

If Wellens is playing in the halves again for Saints (and defending in the normal halves position) then I'd opt for the speed of Briscoe at centre to go at him (if Wellens is defending that side).

My worry with Briscoe at centre is that he has played there a few times for Hull and not really impressed, i would have thought if BMac saw Briscoe as a centre he would have tested him there against London and this isnt a game i would want to take a punt in.

Is playing in an injury hit Hull team really the measurement of a player? especially when comparing to the current Leeds team defending.

Well i think we knew when Briscoe was signed that he was a top quality winger, i think if he had been a top quality centre we would have known that too.

What we know is what the club told us, that he was top quality cover for all the backs positions. I would say that would include centre, and would be happy enough to go with that.

Well i didnt know he was a top quality winger because the club told me, i knew he was a top quality winger because I saw him play there regularly, and thought, “That guy looks like a top quality winger”

When I saw him play centre I thought, “This guy doesn’t look like a top quality centre, he looked far better on the wing.”
