Deepest condolences to Steve and Donna, and Leon's brothers and sisters.
I have known Leon and his family for many years, and he recently lost his beloved grandad Dave, a former Leeds player.
Leon was on the Leeds Rhinos Scholarship for a few years as well as playing for the Academy foundation.
He was a no nonsence forward and as tough and aggresive than most.
I am sure there are many former team mates and friends at Leeds Rhinos, salford, Wakefield and Churwell who will be devastated at this news.....rest in peace mate..
This may sound stupid and you may laugh at me as i didnt know the lad etc
I feel so upset about this, this game to me is such a close sport in terms of fans, players, clubs etc (I know sometimes its not shown on the boards, but ive seen it in St Helens this weekend) and for somebody to lose their life playing it is so heartbreaking
My heart goes out to the Family and to everyone connected to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, a horrible last 6 months for the club
