Below Par Tigers Squeeze Past the Giants There was only one paper winner of tonight's game between table-topping Castleford Tigers and basement dwelling Huddersfield Giants.
But the Tigers were without the services of Luke Gale, Mike McMeeken and the inspirational Zak Hardaker who were both on England duty for the Pacific Test match against Samoa on Saturday morning. The Giants were without Jermaine McGillvary for the same reasons.
The Tigers were the favourites with the bookies but after the Giants confidence boosting win over the Rhinos last weekend and the loss of two key playmakers for the Tigers, there was everything to play for.

Lazy reporting, do some research. Giants were without Mcgilvery Cudjoe Symonds Taai Lawrence Gaskell Had 1 halfback and both 2nd rowers out along with right side centre/ wing partnership. If Thaler had seen Rangi Chase knock on before 1st Cas try headlines could have been full strength Giants team beat Cas weakened by England and multiple injuries!!!!!
If i was to marry, i dont know if i ought to, if i would, if i should , i'd marry a Prop's daughter, she'd go down, i'd go down, we'd all go down together, we'd be alright in the middle of the night going down together!!

Game of two halfs. Huddersfield should have been way ahead first half. Had plenty of chances, couldn't convert them. Second half, two talking points. Webster in a million years shouldn't have been sin binned. It was a legal one on one steal, the Huddersfield player hadn't stopped moving and the ball carrying arm hadn't touched the ground. Awful decision by Thaler. As for the brough incident, he lost his head and lost his team the game. By the way, we kept Huddersfield try-less second half. What's more pleasing as a cas fan, we won a game playing ugly.
