Post subject:  PROGRESS - STADIUM

Its looking like another dissapointing season for us and In my opinion we should let Ian Millward GO. I do think we are steadily improving the squad but Ian seems to not have the full dressing room on his side, hence individual performances can be questioned.
We need some PROGRESS some GO FORWARD as a club.

I have read a post regarding 'Merger'. NO WAY is that an option, both Castleford and Wakefield have identities - tradition and good supporters that care about thier team. Both clubs have the respect of the other SL teams (this is what our great game is built upon).

Back to PROGRESS and the next step for me would be for everyone to get round the table, build a stadium that both clubs could be proud of. This would make the RFL stand up and concede that BOTH clubs are making PROGRESS.

On field both Cas and Wakefield will always be a force. Rugby League Clubs need a strong'grass roots' developing youngsters. This opens up the other argument regarding expansion of the game! BUT back on topic, who can argue with the WMDC for a breeding ground for talent.

One other thing if WMDC loses either the Tigers or Widcats our kids certainly have no future at all. In this I mean both boys and girls. RL is the biggest individual source of excercise sport in the district 'and growing. GET ON THIS ARGUEMENT for a groundshare!!!!

A ground share of Castleford with Wakefield at Wakefield's prospective new stadium would make most sense at this time, given the lack of prospects of a new Castleford stadium.

None of the other clubs want Castleford in particular to be dropped from Super League. However there are too many English clubs for the available English playing talent. At least one, and perhaps more, English clubs need to be dropped to the Championship, with their best players going to the surviving SL clubs (preferably to the weaker ones), in order to even up the playing standards of Super League.

If the ground sharing idea falls through, then Castleford will have to face the grim reality that they are going to be dropped from Super League in 2015. Toulouse, which will have a modern SL standard stadium by 2015, and is unlikely to have any English players on its roster, is odds on to be admitted in Castleford's place.

Cas won't be in SL in 2014 never mind 2015. We're done.

Its a good Job Tigerade is not in charge. We would have been playing Championship Rugby in 2005.
Come on Guys let's have some positivity. How can you expect the club to go forward with negative attitudes. Just paying at the gate aint enough as is the players just training well. The players need to be positive on the pitch choose how good or bad things are off it.

I've tried the "lets be positive" approach for years like thousands of other Cas Tigers supporters and it isn't working. Time to get real - we are been run-down and our BOD are in the process of selling up. They will take the money from the ground sale and we won't have a club.

This might give you an insight on how fans are feeling at the moment:-

Interesting rant, and heartfelt.

Just a point on the referee thing, I agree re refs reffing their "own" teams. My recollection is that the rule was implemented at the height of St Helens' dominance because Ganson wasn't getting any of the big games.

IF? I didn't know there was one!!
Even the most ardent Cas fan with his very best amber and black tinted specs on could consider this as a morale goer after all the anti NM detritus that has flowed under that bridge.
