Interesting for me as a Fax fan. Especially as reading the Salford forum it looks like their stadium is scuppered.

He's right, try getting any Wakefield fan to say they'd share at Glasshoughton though...

For me it's simple. The ground has to be somewhere accessible within the borders of both Castleford and Wakefield - Glasshoughton is the only suitable site.

But hey, let's all posteur for a while longer...

Possibly the most biased Loiner writing in the RL media.

What a terrible piece of short sighted journalism.
A Stadium a few miles from Castleford would probably see our attendances drop rather than increase, other than to win a franchise what would be the point in that!
A multi million pound white elephant that doesn't do anything for Wakefield's or Castleford's long term strategy and would probably force both clubs to merge.
Fans of all clubs still love coming to the jungle and the ground still ticks many of the boxes, yes a new state of the art stadium would take us to another level, but only if it's built in CAS!
If we can't raise the money to start the project before the next round of franchises and we lose our Superleague license then so be it.There is life outside of Superleague and we can and will bounce back.We have got to look beyond 2012.

"Both teams will struggle to get a franchise without new stadia"

Complete tosh tbh, other then Widnes no team in the Championship is anywhere near scoring enough criteria points to get into the league whereas at the minute Cas will gain 2 extra points on last time (giving them a comfortable B) and Wakey will gain 1 more (again, giving them a B), which would leave Celtic and Salford the only 2 teams left on a C, Salford fans should be the ones worried about not getting a franchise next time not Cas/Wakey as both teams contribute too much to the league to be kicked out.

And if all else fails, Wakey can pay rent at Glasshoughton
