Had a good game last night, as more often than not been gateheads man of the match, would he be worth bringing back to the club next year? He's a good goal kicker, makes some good runs and would count towards our home qouta. Maybe a good replacement for clayton, forfilling the same role as a sqaud player until he develops further?

In terms of replacing Ryan Clayton we'll be looking more towards the likes of Ben Gledhill or John Davies. Knowles has been an excellent signing for the Thunder but I dare say he's found his level.

I always like the lad. He gave 100% and never took a backwards step. Not sure he's big enough to make the grade in Superleague. But one to keep an eye on.

Having went to school with him he always played with passion

That showed during his time at Cas and to be honest i thought he was coming along nicely and would of been able to step up to SL, however this has not been the case and he is doing well at Gateshead.

Didn't see the game last night

Knowlesy had a good all round game last night and probably deserved to be on the winning side for his efforts, his goal kicking was excellent, there were a couple of stand out players for Batley too and wasn't such a bad game in the poor conditions. As has been said already, never took a backward step when he played for us and maybe could make the step back up at some point, but his lack of size may be a problem at a higher level.
