It's what... <looks at watch> ...three of hours after the hooter and already I've watched the post match comments from Terry and The Sarge.

Credit where it's due!

It's improved so much in the past 6 months or so. Well done to everyone involved.

And is that what Sargent said true? We haven't won two back to back SL matches since 2006? Was that when we beat Salford and Wigan in early May (I think)?

It's nice to see Matterson pleased and more relaxed. The bloke has had it tough for a few years. He's inherited teams, players and had to cope with building squads in limited time periods. He stuck with the club when he could have so easily gone back to Oz and I feel he hurts just as much as us Cas folk when it's not going right.

The young players development that we have now is no coincidence, he has played a major part in Owen, Westerman, Shenton and Hubys development and emergence into Super League.

When he joined the club, he was nowhere near (and still isn't) the finished article when it comes to being where he wants to be as a coach. There is no magic wand to wave, things take time and the lack of understanding of this from some of our supporters, is frustrating. He is growing, learning and developing along with the team. The bloke commands respect in the game and I sincerely hope we can win something under Matterson, for his sake just as much as ours.

Sounds about right - we certainly didn't do it last year.

Wasn't our last back to back wins against Salford and Wigan in 2006? Coincidence?
