Sickening to see that on the pitch, he was in a real bad way. Good on the medics, they may have saved his life.

Just hope we stop using him as we are, he's a skillful player but we don't use those skills with the role we have him playing.

And get him running out wide, put into space. He'd feed well off Goldy, just like Ferres has been doing.

That was me. Me and my g.f (who works in Whiston hospital) were listening to the radio and the commentator mentioned the challenge and the subsequent fit whereupon my g.f said he must of swallowed his tongue cause that what generally happens.

If this was wrong I really do apologise and as stated on other sites I am so glad he is o.k.

Sorry if I led other people to wrong conclusions too as I was doing step by step posting of the game at the time.

I do feel guilty about this, you can tell can't you?, like I said and on other sites as well its good to hear Joe is well.

Stu.

I take heart to hear that both the fans and the players got together. It could of been worse. 8)

On pure rugby (leaving aside wishing Joe all the very best and a speedy recovery) we stunk today.

The 22 points we got flattered us, 32-0 down was awful, there was a period when we were all affected by Joe's injury - but the players got word at half time he was conscious and talking, so that effect should have been relatively minimal, but we were down to 16 players which has an effect.

When the smoke clears and we look back on this game safe in the knowledge Westy is well again - we got our arses smacked big style today. I am not a neg-head and could see what we were building - performances, difficult to beat and sticking at with constant improvement - But this was shades of 2004/6 a meek collapse and we only showed something when the game was over as a contest.

That said - Puletua is an amazing player, I know we made him look even better today, but he's top quality at any level, pleasure to watch him and James Graham today.
