Was he not? I thought he'd been sent off. As I recall though, Poching took Brad Davis out quite badly after a kick, which is what lead to the incident.

Sampson & Poaching both played in the game at The Jungle the following year but Davis had moved on by that time.

Definately the 2000 game but neither CT.net nor http://www.slstats.org recall any card being issued to Sampson.

Will check the paper records tonight.
