I am pretty sure thats the view of most Cas fans and would like to thank you for saying that.

I think when folk really sit down and think properly about it, it'd likely be the view of all of us. Probably even a big majority of Saints fans. Good luck!

I think my response has been taken totally out of context!

I am deeply sorry that Leon lost his life, I really do have the deepest sympathy for his family and friends. I will pause for thought about poor Leon, who was so tragically taken in the prime of his life (as I have done since I first heard of the tragedy) and mourn his loss during the minutes silence.

Once the game is under way, I'm sure there will still be thoughts of sorrow about Leon, but as Vastman so eloquently put it, the game itself and the result is absolutely unconnected. I was merely responding to a previous comment, where Marshman for example, said he would be supporting Wakefield every game this season, and nowhere did I say "hammered".

For adam9641 to say I have no place in rugby league is an absolute insult, I expressed my feelings and gave my condolences on the Wakefield supporters forum, as I did in my opening comment on this, the Castleford forum. I do feel sorry for the Wakefield club, the players and officials, having had to deal with a second tragedy in such a short space of time.

I really don't feel I have expressed anywhere, that we or any other club for that matter, benefit from poor Leon's death.

I do know how devastating such a death can be from first hand experience, as I coached a lad even younger than poor Leon, who collapsed on a rugby field and died later in hospital, it really is impossible to express how painful and traumatic an experience it is.

As far as Leon's family is concerned, their loss is the greatest, losing a son at such a young age, I really do feel for them and I'm sure that result of the game is of little or no consequence to them and no matter what the score, their sorrow and loss will not be made any less, it is after all, only a game and not matter of life and death.

RIP Leon.

Really have to be a Saints supporter on Friday and hope they win by a good margin, the points difference will push us above Wakey. Also long term, I think our place in a top 8 play off positions will be influenced more by Wakey than Saints.

Come on you Saints!

What do you class that as then? You want Cas to benefit from the game, no one and I mean no one should want any sort of benefit from the game at all.

What I would like to think we all want is a top class game of rugby to pay a great tribute to Leon, who loved his rugby and everything he did as about rugby

Would you prefer a Wakefield win tonight?

Would prefer a good game of rugby league first all all, like Kear has said. A good game of rugby with high levels of skill comes first, the win comes 2nd.

I commend your attitude, mate, but I don't think wanting your team (and Leon's team) to win is in any way disrespectful and nobody should feel guilty for saying so.

A good win and a good pi$$ up afterwards to toast his memory will do some of the lads good after what will have been a bloody horrible week.

How is a Saints win gaining benefit from Leon's death, you are twisting what I said!

But saying he hopes we "lose by a big score" I think that was a little off, but then to say he did not say he wanted Cas to benefit, even though he said "it would push us above them in the league"

It’s the way he put it that got to me, I would not be bothered if he had said it in a different way. A simple “As sad as it is I will not be supporting Wakey tonight” would have done.

No, I never said that. But hoping Wakey to lose by a big score on what will be an emotional night is what p!ssed me off.

I don't mind you not supporting Wakey, that would have been ok but saying you wanted us to lose by a big score etc is a bit off IMO
