No I don't. Thats why I said, "I'm willing to see what he can do - because I still think we haven't seen the best of him." But people think he should have done more in 9 games - thats why they're getting on his back at games.

like i said he only here for one year! won't be long before TM starts looking for next year! really hope he kicks on and i eat my words!! but dont think he will and thats my opinion
I still don't think how Sione has played warrants supporters getting on his back, he's done some really good things in that time and looked a class apart, his tackling for sure - I remember when I first saw him play it was like watching Nikau reborn and he seems to have even more strings to his bow than T had.
I think maybe one of the reason's he's not been performing as we would like, is that he played a number of games at stand off and IMO that didn't work too well, but fortunately TM has now put Rangi there and moved Sione into a position he's much more suited to, in the back row, very different roles.
I think he's a star in the making as a back row forward, but definitely not so as a stand off half, although I think he's been playing more like a stand off in the back row and when he start playing more like a back row, we will see Sione running out wide and ripping defences apart.
As far as the songs go, I can't remember hearing the one mentioned and really I have to say I'm pleased I haven't, if we are going to sing about him, please let it be for how he smashes players to the ground with his big hits and not about parts of his anatomy, the word crude springs to mind.

The theory is that forwards generally peak in their late 20s, I can remember many instances where this has definitely been the case, Kevin Ward was a prime example.
At this moment in time, you are correct about the comparison with T, but Sione has the potential if he gets his act together, all the ingredients are there and IMO it's just a matter of tweaking his game to get the best out of him.

You should be ashamed to call yourself a Cas fan! Nikau was a fantastic player who played at the very top level of rugby league!

Props tend to mature in their late 20s second rowers loose forwards are usually in their prime by their mid 20s. See Andy Farrell, Paul Sculthorpe, David Solomona, Gordon Tallis etal as examples. Faumuina should be well in to his prime, maybe he's past it? (not as a player but his best days may have been and gone??)
