I would have liked to have seen the "Big Man" Woodsy in charge of our team(just to see how he would have perfomed in Super League), but hats off to Terry, well done and keep up the good work. 8)

TOP STUFF ? Been looking at tm coaching record at cas. 2006 9 wins, 2008 7 wins, and the 28 wins in 2007 was in div 1. all in all a very POOR record

Yeah - crap record: that's why he was seriously being talked about as a Man of Steel candidate ( as a coach!) in his first
season. 2@.

he has never really cut it in super league. his rotation against saints was absolutely laughable. too petulent to be a really good coach, imho.

9 wins, 1 draw.

The highest total achieved by a relegated team (not even built by him!)

I think he is one of the most overrated coaches in SL. I'm not counting His NL record because that hardly a judge of his talents seen as he had the biggest budget and a number of SL standard players in his squad.

So lets look at his SL record.

Played 65, Won 24, Drawn 2 which is a strike rate of 35%. Which is about 9 or 10 wins a season, which is about a 10th place finish on average.

When you come up in 06 and 08 I don't buy all this crap about having nothing to play with and the players were not available. Just look at some of the players Kear managed to sign from the lower grades in that period. Something that Matterson isn't capable of doing, he just doesn't posses the know how. Look at the some of the signing last season were terrible, hence the reason you were woodern spooners.

Some of the comments he comes out with are just laughable. Complaining after the Huddersfield game that 15 penalties were not enough ( or even a 3 to 1 penalty ratio). Then just before playing Wakey game proclaiming to be the Harlem Globetrotters of Rugby League! :?

You just couldn't script a comedy like that. If our coach come out with crap like that It would make me cringe. :!:

You really have no idea do you.

In 06, the squad wasn't his. He effectively coached a side created by the BOD.

In 08, we didn't sign more players because we a) didn't have the salary cap and b) because we were given youngsters such as Owen and Westerman a chance to play SL. There was no need for going out and buying just anyone.

Wish the Wakey fans would either just grow up and get on with their own club or at least get the correct facts before spouting complete tripe.
