Debut 7 June 2003 @ Leeds.
http://thecastlefordtigers.co.uk/viewre ... port&id=16

3 goals in his 7th appearance, from the bench @ home to Huddersfield.
http://thecastlefordtigers.co.uk/viewre ... port&id=28

Well done Nick.

1st try at home to York in 2005
http://thecastlefordtigers.co.uk/viewre ... ort&id=210

Contract expires end 2011 so will need another year for a testimonial.

Interestingly players with 10 years service at 1 club also now count less against the salary cap.

I vaguely remember standing in the Princess Street stand and him coming on from the bench to kick his first points towards the railway end.

That's probably miles away from the truth though.

I was trying to look on your site earlier, was it down this afternoon by any chance? Seems to be ok now.

Just looking at http://thecastlefordtigers.co.uk/matchrecords.php and http://www.castigers.com/cgi-bin/records.cgi

It would appear the Super League attendance record could do with updating on the main site. I wonder if we could break any of these records this year.

To what extent?

A good rule in my opinion encourages players to stick with there hometown clubs and means we are more likely to keep the likes of shenton, westerman and huby etc when there contracts are up.

Huby is one of them players that was possibly overhyped at an early age basically because he broke into the side when only 18. He probably had more game time in the 1st team as a result of our relegation and has had more than his fair share of absence through injury.

Every year he's one of them players that I tend to think "if he has an injury free season we could start to see the best of him" and whilst I thought he was only average last year, he seems to have stepped it up quite a bit this season and is more than holding his own against most other superleague props.

I wouldn't go so far as to suggest international honours, but he could yet turn out to be one of the better props in SL over the next decade or so provided he's not too unlucky with injuries.
